Dear Visitor,
There is to be a live TV debate Thur 19th May 6pm- 6.30 on HS2 and the Y route as the entire content for the Central News programme. They are hoping Philip Hammond will be on the pro panel with our side being led my Jerry Marshall. It is an invited audience with people from both camps. Central News have opened a Facebook page for comments about HS2 and a poll. During the programme there will also be a Twitter feed (possibly before too), so please keep an eye out for opportunities to comment. We need you to vote urgently via Facebook by clicking on the following link: https://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=question&id=10150194414094035&qa_ref=qd
The Central News programmes on Tue & Wed will each have a feature on HS2 one pro, one against. As Central News covers the East Midlands they are particularly keen to involve people in that region.
HS2AA have produced a briefing note to prove that RP2 really does deliver 151% more capacity (and not the 54% that government say) on WCML compared to 2008. It sources all the figures sourced form DfT's own documents (even the documents where they redid the costs and benefits for RP2).
HS2AA have revised their previous Review of the DfT/HS2 Consultation Business Case (released Feb 2011) for HS2. This new version (v1.9 5 May 2011) is now available.
HS2AA publish some key points to consider when responding to the HS2 Consultation questions. Download the document here or go to our Consultation page.
Don't forget to keep an eye on our home page for latest news.
regards,
HS2 AA
